NOTICE OF VACANCY Computer Field Technician Date of Notice: May 7, 2024 Non-Exempt Position - Classified Vacancy #: 13-055 / 11344 . Job Snapshot:Under the general supervision of the Director of Technology, maintains the school district's computer and network equipment in operating condition, meeting the technology needs of the district; troubleshoots and repairs computer hardware and software, and resolves immediate computer operational problems to increase effectiveness and reduce costs, to the ultimate benefit of the educational program.

  • Minimum two years of directly related experience. Technology integration in schools is preferred.

  • Experience with Windows and current operating systems.

  • Advanced vendor-specific training (A+, Microsoft, etc.) or technical training from an accredited college, university, or vocational school preferred.

  • Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.

. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, projectors, large display monitors/TVs and other

media systems.

  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals such as central processing units, servers,

monitors, cables, network systems, printers, and other current hardware technologies.

  • Extensive knowledge of E-mail, Internet, WAN, LAN, and other computer network programs and

operations.

  • Ability to inspect, assess, troubleshoot and repair computer network system, hardware and software.

  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently with limited supervision.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidence in regard to all District information and materials.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with and assist people with varying levels of computer expertise

  • Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements.

Salary: Twelve months (234 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the District Computer Technician Salary Schedule. The work calendar is subject to change based on any Board approved revisions that may or may not be permanent.
