We have summer internship opportunities available across the U.S;including Minnesota, California, Colorado,Connecticut, Arizona, Massachusetts and Florida. A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
This is a temporary position.
Responsible for performing and supporting research for teams operating within a service group, or product group and/ or project group.
Assists with the development, monitoring, coordination and implementation of technical projects as assigned.
Provides analysis, reporting and internal communication services with team members.
Develops knowledge of industry and organizational processes.
The four primary areas of opportunity are workingon Software Development, Firmware, Software Verification/Test, FirmwareVerification/Test. You will use software engineering tools and methods todefine requirements and then design, verify, and implement a product. Some software applications are used byphysicians in the course of diagnosing or treating patients; other productsallow for the analysis of data gathered during pre-clinical or clinicaltrials. Under the direction of a moreexperienced engineer, you will prepare plans for your own work, participate intechnical reviews, implement advances in current state-of-the-art technologyand identify opportunities for productivity and quality improvement. You will test for product integration andverification, conducting those tests based on design specifications, and willprepare formal documentation.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Undergraduate student with a sophomore or junior level in standing
Working towards a bachelor's degree in computer or software engineering,computer science or related engineering major
A minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on afull-time basis and does not require sponsorship in the future for anemployment visa
Able to participate full time (40 hours/week), in 1 of our 2 cohorts:
Cohort 1: Tuesday, May 28 - Friday, August 16
Cohort 2: Monday, June 17 - Friday, August 30
Nice to Have
Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies is required: C,C++, C#/.NET, Java, Web Technologies, design patterns, Database technologies,XML, Perl, Python, MatLab
Prior work on projects in a team environment preferred
Relevant academic projects, internship or lab experience preferred
BioMed knowledge a plus but not required
