This opening will be used to fill student Computer Engineer 2019 intern and co-op openings in Illinois and Missouri. Majority of these roles will be co-ops.
If you are selected for an intern or co-op position, please note that Ameren does offer a housing stipend to interns and co-ops if minimum housing stipend requirements are met.

Key responsibilities of the Student Engineer may include (will vary by location):
Duties include but are not limited to assisting engineers in the design and project management activities of new electric metering facilities.
Assist engineers in the areas of system planning, system protection, or substation design.
Working with system models to study the distribution system, perform load flow studies, evaluate equipment ratings and perform coordination studies.
Provide technical support for projects and other assignments relating to the design of electric substations.
Plan, design, budget, engineer, and manage electric construction projects related to reliability, government highway projects, system growth, and essential maintenance for the electric distribution system.
Project management of smart grid projects.
Education: Must be a Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Master's student status in Electrical Engineering from an abet accredited college or university required. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required.
Experience: Problem solving & analysis skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills preferred. Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus, but not required.
Other: Good analytical, communication, and human relations skills. Adaptable and flexible. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
