To ensure consistent and optimal use of the Epic system Efficiencies in Epic allow our care providers to focus more of their time with our patients Collaboration to build a stronger CentraCare The Education Specialist is responsible for:


Mastering both an Epic application and the specific workflows of that application Participating in workflow design in order to gain in-depth knowledge of practice and system to achieve optimal system functionality Building, testing, and maintaining the training environment, as well as developing and maintaining training materials Leading training of new physicians and staff members and provides regular ongoing training opportunities for projects and upgrades Delivering EMR training content via instructor led classes, e-learning, tip sheets, newsletters and other modes of learning Performing site visits in hospital and clinic areas including the operating room, shadowing end users for learning and optimization. Creating and maintaining classroom rosters using the Learning Management System and assist users with LMS activities as necessary Education: 1 or more years# post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience Experience: 1 or more years


related experience in:


Instructional Design OR Classroom Teaching EPIC Experience: Build, maintenance, or general usage

Preferred Qualifications:
EPIC Certification or Proficiency in a clinical application Demonstrated experience with Epic TED (training environment design) and training tools Experience with eLearning development and tools Previous experience in healthcare is preferred including familiarity with clinical workflows Previous experience in information technology and/or electronic health record software Special

Current application certification (if applicable to the application) required within 12 months of hire. #
