Component Engineer

A Industry leading company is looking for a component engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience within aerospace engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. See below and apply for more details:

What you'll do:

• Provide technical direction in the identification/selection of primary and alternate active/passive components in support of new and existing designs

• Lead in managing and executing of the component Obsolescence Management Plan (OMP)

• Support customer SDRLs for diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) reporting

• Collaborate with Purchasing/Production teams to keep current on availability/end-of-life status for components to allow proper planning across all company disciplines for alternate selection, re-design, life-time-buy, or product end-of-life dispositions

• Select component alternates to overcome lead time and availability issues

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Experience with component engineering
