Under the supervision of the Compliance Foreman or Environmental Manager, the Compliance Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation and maintenance of lease equipment on production facilities. This position is responsible for (LDAR) program execution, as well as, vapor combustor and associated tank vapor capture system operations. Tasks include routine maintenance of equipment, particularly thief hatches, pressure relief valves, and vapor combustors and maintenance of the locations to company standards. Conduct daily LDAR and AVO inspections including preparation of documentation of leak identification and repairs. This position requires a self motivated, hardworking team player who pays attention to details. Organizational and communication skills are essential. The candidate will demonstrate ownership of job responsibilities and hold themselves accountable for their successful completion. Schedules will be assigned as needed by foremen. Overtime and possible weekend or night callouts are included in responsibilities.
Drive safely to and from wells and production facilities
Comply with company safety policies and government regulations
Participate in employee training and emergency preparedness drills
Assure operational and environmental compliance with government requirements and company policies.
Complete field inspections and documentation necessary to comply with environmental and air quality regulations.
Conduct maintenance and repair on tank vapor capture systems including maintenance and repair or replacement of thief hatches, pressure relief valves, and enclosed vapor combustors and associated burner management systems.
Provide routine maintenance on production equipment
Identify problems or potential problems with equipment and fix or report to supervisor that problem(s) is out of knowledge base to repair properly
Secures and maintains all HIghPoint-issued equipment, including but not limited to computers, vehicles and Infra-red camera
Knowledge & Skills:
Employee must have a valid driver's license
Operate a vehicle safely in all weather conditions and drive to oil & gas equipment facilities located in rural/open range country
Demonstrate knowledge of safe work behavior and habits, and can guide others to do the same
Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and climb stairways
Ability to lift 80lbs, maneuver heavy objects
Ability to write legibly and effectively communicate verbally
Proficient in Microsoft office programs-particularly Excel
Ability to read and follow directions and work independently after given clear directions and training
Have good communications skills to collaborate with team members, including operations, safely and environmental staff
A sound working knowledge of all production and emission control equipment including vapor combustor operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for efficient emission control
Mechanical skills and knowledge to repair equipment on production facilities
Basic electrical skills & safe working practices
Certified/trained on Infra-red camera use and operation for leak detection
Maintain knowledge of CDPHE Regulation 7, NSPS Subpart OOOO & OOOOa, LDAR/AVO, and STEM standards and practices
High School or better.
A minimum of 3-5 years' related oil and gas production experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience must include Infra-red camera operations for leak detection, as well as, vapor combustor and ignition control operations and maintenance.
