Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist is primarily responsible for reviewing files for all properties, including HUD Section 8, Public Housing, Marif Bond and Tax Credit and all other compliance as needed. The Compliance Specialist will need to be accurate and detail orientated to ensure proper compliance.

The successful applicant will have:

• Certified Occupancy Specialist certification preferred

• Tax Credit Specialist perferred

• Minimum of two years' of Housing Tax Credit Compliance experience

• Knowledge and understanding of subsidy and fair housing regulations and practices

• Demonstrate compliance expertise and support

• Responsible for conducting move in and annual resident file reviews for Housing Tax Credit

• Review all new applications for property leasing staff in timely and accurate manner

• Ensure compliance with all requirements under the LURA, regulatory agreement, loan documents and other applicable programs

• Review all (move-ins and annuals) to ensure all applicants meet eligibility requirements as governed by the regulatory agreements and closing documents

• Train the staff on each aspect of their compliance requirements

• Assist with the preparation of file and physical audits on site

• Occasional travel may be required
