Malouf is looking for an organized & dependable compliance specialist to join our growing legal team. Flexibility and great communication skills are a must as this person will be working with other departments, and external contacts on a daily basis.

This is a full-time position. General schedule is 8am-5pm Monday - Friday. Part time, remote, or student schedules are not available.

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Assist with law label tag applications for Malouf, Salt Flat, Downeast Outfitters and other Malouf Companies.

  • Work with team members, government officials, and 3rd party organization on researching and resolving compliance needs.

  • Co-manage the law label spreadsheet with Product Compliance Director.

  • Actively monitor the expiration dates for law tags and renew licenses.

  • Review the physical law tags, and the products to make sure they line up.

  • Research national and state compliance requirements for our products.

  • Help design virtual law-tags with the assistance of the Product Development team.

  • Act as one of the primary points of contact between the company and the compliance department.

  • Undertake the tasks of receiving calls, taking messages, and routing correspondence.

  • Assist creating agendas for legal and compliance meetings.

  • Manage compliance related documents on our database.

  • Organize and produce compliance related reports, presentations, and briefs.

  • Monitor and manage the compliance team task sheets.

  • Coordinate with attorneys and department directors to legal and compliance documentation.

  • Confirm assignments and follow up.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is crucial

  • A solid understanding of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) is a MUST

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once

  • Strong communication, (interpersonal skills, letter drafting, email & phone etiquette, etc.)

  • A great multi-tasker
