This position with work with the Associate Director of Compliance to manage the compliance office for the University. This position will assist in reviewing University compliance initiatives, communicate, review required trainings for research staff, and assist in record keeping of annual trainings. Will work with research teams across all academic units to refine data and reporting used in support of institutional academic compliance.

Job Description

Works with Associate Director of Compliance to:

  • Provide coordination of compliance activities for assigned program

  • Assist with mitigating organizational risk and issues related to compliance with rules and regulations for compliance

  • Applies compliance regulations, rules and practice with the UM System Compliance Program

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with record keeping in the Compliance Office

  • Sending and following up on notices to research teams of required education for sponsored projects

  • Ensuring that visual compliance reviews are done, checking on citizenship of individuals working on research projects

  • Organizing files to assure all elements have been completed

  • Scheduling TCP briefings, ensuring TCP acknowledgements are completed

  • Organizes compliance documents for internal processed, such as annual reviews and audits

  • Assists and coordinates reviews of H1B, non-employee appointments for Human Resources and International Studies

  • Assists managing and coordinating meetings with research teams, compliance and IT services

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.61-$25.57 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
