As a Compliance Specialist, you will responsible for supporting the Machinery Safety Program, Process Safety program and the Qualification Team for the Lincoln site. This role is responsible for development, execution, and compliance to all corporate machinery safety, Process Safety Engineering as well as qualification requirements.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following

  • Supports the Process Safety, Machinery, and Electrical safety programs for the site.

  • Create alignment with the GSK Global Engineering Standards for Machinery Safety, Process safety, EHS and GMP requirements for the manufacture of OTC Drugs.

  • Responsible and supports all Machinery Safety, Process safety related assessments and capital projects for spend of up to $30 MM annually.

  • Accountable for direct management for up to 8+ concurrent project executions depending on scope.

  • Provide technical design input and approval for new and existing equipment to comply with Process safety, machinery safety, and EHS standards.

  • This role is providing management and/or support, oversite, and execution of machinery safety assessments, chemical risk assessments, Hazardous area classification program to comply with Corporate standards.

  • Develops requirements for equipment hazard classification, including component design, specification, and assembly.

  • This role is responsible for the coordination of training, presentation of metrics to area managers, performance/competency assessments and retraining to ensure all associates meet engineering safety standards.

  • Develop written SOPs, standards, and processes for applicable areas of responsibility.

  • Manage vendors and consultants to ensure that contracts contain appropriate technical specifications are delivered as required.

  • Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable regulations, standard operating procedures, and industry practice.

  • Work on any assignment as directed.

  • Adhere to all GSK safety guidelines and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 2 years' of Engineering experience related to industrial equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years' of Engineering experience related to industrial equipment.
  • OSHA or Industry related certifications in regards to Machine Safety.
