Compliance Specialist

Summary/objective: Ensure FullSpeed Automotive's corporate and field locations are operating in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Essential functions:

• Conducting multijurisdictional research to identify licensing and permitting requirements (e.g., environmental, business and zoning and signage) for existing and future locations of operations.

• Preparing and timely filing compliance forms and reports with various administrative and regulatory agencies.

• Managing and collaborating with service providers engaged by the company to assist with compliance filings and issue resolution.

• Consulting with the legal department and advising leadership and management on compliance matters, including strategies and action plans for implementing and maintaining compliance.

• Collaborating with the training department and other company departments, to develop and provide employee training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems.

• Identifying, investigating, and reporting compliance issues, irregularities, and violations related to company operations.

• Maintaining records of compliance activities.

• Communicating with various administrative and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, and local level.

• Communicating with departmental leaders regarding regulatory compliance.

• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required experience: None

Required education:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting.

• Paralegal certification; or

• 5 years working in compliance function
