Work hard, have fun, and make history working with the North America Restricted Products Legal team. We are looking for someone who can navigate complex product regulations and develop and implement related compliance actions. This position requires partnering with legal and business teams on proposed actions, and coordinating across multiple teams using technology to implement processes and policies to effectuate those actions. There is a significant project management component to this role.

You must have strong prior work experience in a professional setting, a positive attitude, and strong organizational skills. The ability to effectively communicate is essential, both verbally and in writing. The role will require that you be self-motivated to learn the operations and will involve both independent and team work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing. You also need great judgment, a sense of humor, and a desire to learn and be curious.

This position is based in Seattle.

  • 5+ years of prior, relevant professional experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Strong oral and written communication capabilities

  • Great research skills and the ability to sort through complex documentation

  • Proven ability to manage multiple internal and external escalations

  • Experience interacting directly with regulators, including federal and state agencies

  • Experience researching, analyzing and synthesizing federal and state regulations

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changes quickly while meeting deadlines.

  • Great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.

  • Prior experience with project management

  • Data driven decision-making experience

  • Military or legal experience

The Procurement Policies and Compliance specialist will run the Procurement compliance program, from development and refinement of policies, SOP manuals, work instructions to tracking and reporting compliance. The Procurement Policies and Compliance Specialist is under the direction of the Procurement Manager P2P & Compliance by performing the following duties: Key Responsibilities: * Design, implement, train and monitor Procurement Policy compliance for the enterprise including all acquired businesses and new hires. * Continuously measure and help to improve the Source-to-Pay procurement process and adherence to policies. * Represent Procurement functional subject matter expert (SME) providing cross functional training and guidance to assure policies are being followed. * Serve as a member of the Procure to Pay Task Force and provides input to support the initiatives of the Team. * Write new Policies, SOP manuals, and Work instructions as assigned. * Execute existing Procurement Policy updates when agreed upon. * Identify continuous improvement opportunities throughout the Procurement Policy process, develop recommendations for improvement, and lead the implementation of policy and process change. * Utilize large amount of data derived from compliance monitoring and reporting to identify gaps in the adherence to Procurement policies. * Support the needs and requests of the Internal Audit Department with regards to compliance records and documentation. Additional Responsibilities: * Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. * Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. * Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. Minimum Requirements Experience & Education: * 2-year degree and 3+ years of related experience. * Bachelor's degree and 2+ years related experience preferred. * SAP Procurement Module and Enterprise Asset Management Systems experience preferred. Qualifications & Skills: * Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence business partners throughout an organization. * Strong understanding of Procurement processes and policies. * Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Excellent communication skills (written and oral). * Possess good time management and prioritization skills. * Naturally a self-starter and very results-oriented. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
