You will provide critical technical and process support and expertise to drive compliance program maturity and help maintain key activities. Your role will include both baseline work as well as project-related activity.

Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:

Reporting and Analytics

  • Senior Management and Board-level baseline reporting

  • Reporting and analytics enhancements (both technical and process-related)

  • Ad hoc business intelligence, analytical and reporting needs of Compliance teams

Policies, Standards, Procedures

  • Supporting Compliance-owned policy and standard development/revision

  • Supporting feedback process for policies and standards not owned by the Compliance department

  • Developing and executing plan for Compliance department procedures

Operations

  • Senior Management Committee meeting logistical facilitation

  • Communication/presentation development for implementation of Compliance Risk Management Advisory Bulletin

  • Ad hoc projects related to the Advisory Bulletin implementation

  • Leading annual protected personal information annual inventory

Qualifications

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Tableau, SharePoint or related tool experience

  • 2-4 years of related experience.

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written; collaborates well in teams

The IT Division seeks a Risk & Controls Professional to support Service Management risk and control activities with respect to the firm's operations. The candidate will be part of a team that has an extensive coordination role across the three lines of defense. This position requires demonstrated understanding and experience with service management risk management and controls, effective communications, persistence, and well-developed organizational skills Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories: Service Management Process, Risk, and Controls * Advise process and control owners on process design, control narratives, and related documentation * Support process owners on process and control design, and execution testing * Support leadership on completion of risk assessments to service management processes for quarterly IT Risk and Control Self-Assessment Process, for emerging risks, and for issue management * Provide SOX testing support of service management processes Risk Management and Control Assurance * Understand and manage Information and Technology risk associated with the Service Management processes for the IT division * Perform risk assessments to reassess current risks and identify emerging key risks * Apply sound judgment in evaluating risks and controls; effectively challenge the business on the identification and acceptance of risks and the adequacy of controls * Advise the IT "customers" on means and methods to drive remediation of risk related issues and operational events * Coordinate with management on issue remediation 1st LOD Operational Risk Management Oversight * Track, monitor and report on risk and control issues * Coordinate with management on issue remediation * Assist with preparation of monthly/quarterly key stakeholder meeting materials * Build strong partnerships with IT stakeholders, as well as 2nd and 3rd lines of defense organizations Qualifications * 2-4 years of risk, control, compliance, or operational risk experience in the financial services industry * Experience in SOX, internal/external audits, risk management - methods and techniques * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Management or equivalent work experience * Ability to operate as a self-motivated, pro-active, and result-driven problem solver with excellent analytical and communication skills * Ability to understand IT business processes, management objectives, risk appetite and tolerances and impact of changes to risk profiles * Experience in IT governance and controls, including governance frameworks, ITIL, COBIT, FFIEC, COSO, ISO-31000, etc. Keys to Success in this Role * Self-starter and self-motivated. * Ability to work & collaborate effectively in a team environment. * Sense of urgency and able to apply risk-based approach to prioritize work. * Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, persuasively with technology and business stakeholders. * Motivated to learn new technologies and identify process improvements and efficiencies. * Ability to adapt to change while continuing to deliver on assigned objectives. * Strong verbal and written communication skills.
