Summary: The Compliance Investigator position serves as a research specialist performing a wide range of functions related to compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. This position will have operational responsibilities for accurately evaluating customer information and taking the appropriate action to protect the company against risk of money laundering activity in accordance with law and casino policy in consultation with the Compliance Supervisor and Director of Compliance (BSA Compliance Officer). The position is responsible for analyzing complex suspicious activity cases to ensure that potentially suspicious transactions are appropriately identified within the specified timeframes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Draft Suspicious Activity Reports to ensure that they meet FinCEN requirements. Ensure the Casino internal policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Ensures potentially unusual or suspicious transactions are appropriately identified, documented, and Suspicious Activity Reports are correctly completed and filed in accordance with casino policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensures compliance with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering related laws and regulations and identifies matters of non-compliance and escalates them to the BSA Compliance Officer as necessary for resolution.

  • Utilizes a variety of analytical techniques and computer systems to make informed decisions concerning customer account status.

  • Compiles evidence and documentation in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering regulatory requirements.

  • Maintains a current thorough understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, regulations, industry best practices, criminal activities, and developing trends.

  • Develops and maintains partnerships with user departments to facilitate investigations.

  • Maintains confidential information.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.



  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Minimum of 5 years banking, compliance or audit experience in Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements.

  • Casino experience preferred but not required.

  • Possess above average verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be highly organized.

  • Ability to work under pressure and possesses strong time management skills.

  • Possesses the cognitive ability to identify potential problems from information presented.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of the organization

  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.

  • Must be able to get along well with all levels of the organization and excel in a team oriented environment.

  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.

  • Ability to communicate with team members and guests.

  • Ability to be a TEAM player.

  • Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Frequently required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

  • Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.

  • Fine Motor Skills; Keyboarding, Use of Hand Controls.

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and view information displayed on a computer screen.

Our discoveries have set the stage for successful treatments and possibly even cures for devastating genetic diseases. The laboratory of Dr. Jim Wilson, at GTP of the University of Pennsylvania has been a leader in the development of innovative vector technology for close to three decades. We have emerged as the 'go-to' organization for public and private partners, who want to participate in the gene therapy space. Currently we are positioned to lead another round of vector innovation and establish pre-clinical and clinical proof-of-concept in therapeutic applications of in-vivo genome editing. We are currently looking for Senior Research Investigator (SRI), Project Lead, to lead research efforts in several various therapeutic areas. As a SRI, Project Lead, you will lead projects in various therapeutic areas. In each case, you will be working in the setting of large interdisciplinary teams, where you will function independently in the execution of in vitro and in vivo experiments but will need to work collaboratively with other team members. Working independently, you will perform design, optimization and implementation of complex experiments within specified time lines; provide cross-organizational support for the essential laboratory functions, including effective management of laboratory resources, and participation in maintenance of centralized reagents; will work closely with GTP's Project Managers to assure that the translational research program adheres to the work plan and stays within budget; contribute to writing/reviewing manuscripts, preparing presentations, establishing collaborations as well as writing/reviewing protocols and SOPs.
