Global Compliance
Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm's culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm's enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm's second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm's compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm's responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.
Financial Crime Compliance (FCC)
FCC coordinates Goldman Sachs' enterprise-wide anti-money laundering (BSA/AML), sanctions, anti-bribery compliance, and forensics surveillance efforts. The FCC team, which is comprised of professionals with extensive law enforcement, regulatory, legal, compliance, forensic consulting, operations, and business experience, administers an array of surveillances, due diligence and other control processes designed to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, securities fraud, and other violations of the law.
OPPORTUNITY
FCC's Regulatory and Audit Management oversees broad-based FCC initiatives and serves in an advisory capacity to other groups within FCC, as well as working with other divisions and global stakeholders to meet regulatory deadlines. Among other responsibilities, the FCC Regulatory and Audit Management team is tasked with managing and coordinating FCC regulatory inquiries and audit reviews across the FCC program, as well as monitoring relevant regulatory update among other responsibilities. The FCC Regulatory and Audit Management team works closely with FCC managers, business, and divisional stakeholders across the globe to execute this strategy as well as support other FCC program management and administration.
Responsibilities in this role may include, but are not limited to:
Regulatory Management:
Coordinate regulatory responses and materials across the global FCC program, as well as working with other divisions and global stakeholders to meet regulatory deadlines
Draft regulatory responses covering various aspects of the FCC program
Prepare presentation materials for regulatory interactions
Analyze and prepare metrics related to regulatory exams and inquires for senior managers
Data gathering:
Coordinate with various stakeholders, including, but not limited to, Global Compliance, Operations, Internal Audit, Technology, the Business, to gather and analyze information
Format data gathered using various tools including, MD Office (excel, word, power point, etc.), SharePoint, and other internal applications
Collate and categorize data using a variety of tools to perform relevant analysis
Administrative support to store information on database repositories
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's required; JD preferred
Three to five years of prior compliance or legal experience; one to three years for Analyst level
Working knowledge of BSA/AML, counter-terrorism, anti-bribery and/or anti-fraud experience in the banking industry or at a regulator
Prior experience or exposure to regulatory exams
Prior experience with project management an advantage
MS Excel and PowerPoint skills (proficient in data manipulation and presentation)
Strong communicator, comfortable in presenting and explaining analysis
Knowledge/experience with financial products and services
Team player with great attitude and work ethic
Ability to multi-task on several different assignments/projects
Interest in working on a global team with global businesses
