This position will serve as an enterprise-wide resource for Fair Lending and HMDA regulatory matters and compliance related initiatives.

  • Develops and maintains the Bank's Fair Lending, HMDA and Consumer Complaint Programs.

  • Coordinate and complete risk assessment activities for assigned areas of responsibility.

  • Develop and oversee Fair Lending and HMDA compliance monitoring program for potential regulatory issues.

  • Provides oversight and guidance regarding business products, services, and processes in accordance with regulatory requirements related to Fair Lending, HMDA, and UDAAP.

  • Provides periodic reporting of aggregate compliance risk and performance to Business Units, Leadership and various governance committee.

  • Report audit findings and recommendations to appropriate management based on the results of regularly scheduled audits, non-scheduled audits, and at any time when issues need to be addressed by management.

  • Provide Compliance information to bank management and be a compliance resource for management throughout the bank.

  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.


  • Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in banking compliance, operational risk management or a combination of both.

  • 5+ years of experience in ECOA, FHA, HMDA and/or UDAAP.

  • CRCM certification is a plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to summarize issues, create reports effectively, and interact with variety of individuals within all levels of the department and the financial institution.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Must possess initiative and be a self-starter.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications: Degree Preferred: Bachelor Degree Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: * Understanding electronic governance, risk, and compliance (eGRC) or GRC principles as they are applied in the support of and integration with key business and strategic priorities; * Contributing new intellectual capital through deep knowledge and direct professional experience in a subject matter area or technical domain within eGRC; * Translating business strategy by leading and managing others and performing work with significant independence; * Influencing both internally and externally through building and leading a large team or complex project, or multiple teams or projects, within the eGRC space; * Building and maintaining complex programs while supervising teams to execute against overall strategy; * Executing tasks aligned to Information Security eGRC with autonomy; * Contributing to security design decisions; * Performing technical administration across desktop systems such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Services and Macintosh; * Administratering of security platforms across Microsoft, Linux and Macintosh operations platforms; * Managing and improving Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-based processes used to support security solutions: Incident Management, Requests Fulfilment, Change Management, Problem Management, etc.; * Performing business analysis and contributing to the development of technical standards and practices; * Understanding all phases of applications systems analysis and understands the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) development methodology; and, * Understanding risk management principles in an enterprise environment; and - Understanding SDLC methodologies used with the technical domain.
