We are looking for a result oriented individual who will process senior living housing applications to ensure compliance with and compliance with federal, state and program-specific regulatory requirements, including: LIHTC, Home, HUD, Fair Housing, HIPAA, and other financial programs.

If you're good at:

  • Attention to details, and understanding local, state and federal compliance issues and regulations.

  • Getting up every morning with the attitude of what can I do to make a difference in someone's life? "I can't" is not in your vocabulary.

  • Able to maintain accurate records and establish file maintenance procedures

  • Assist team members and residents with understanding Tax Credit compliance rules, regulations and procedures.

  • Communicating clearly. You write well. You speak eloquently. You can explain just about anything to anyone, and you're comfortable communicating in writing and over the phone.

Minimum Requirements

To be the ideal Compliance Coordinator expert for this role:

  • Must be willing to travel and support two communities in Chicago, IL and Melrose Park, IL.

  • Knowledge and/or experience in processing application for income verification.

  • Knowledge of tax credit regulations required.

  • Ability to interpret regulations and laws and disseminate information.

  • Strong verbal, written and public speaking skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, develop and execute solutions to day-to-day issues, meet deadlines, and ability to effectively negotiate with external customers/vendors to obtain information.

  • Strong computer and writing skills are required.

  • Encourage a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with co-workers, managers and others with whom contact is made.

In this entry-level role, you will support our compliance operations in various locations throughout the U.S. The Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing Cresco Labs materials and ensuring all facilities and departments remain compliant under state law. The ideal candidate must possess a strong attention to detail, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have previous experience in interpreting, understanding, and applying rules and regulations as well as internal guidelines. CORE JOB DUTIES * Assist Compliance team to administer all processes and procedures and ensure working within regulation framework * Document internal and external information to prepare compliance audit data * Support maintenance of all regulations and collect information required to prepare periodic reports to management in all compliance issues * At the direction of the Compliance Manager, tracks and sends regular reminders for recurring operational inspections, and reports to government agencies to confirm all compliance deadlines are met * Support various departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS * 1+ years of compliance experience preferred, ideally in the regulated cannabis industry or another regulated industry, such as alcohol, tobacco, or manufacturing * Must have the ability to develop, and foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, outside partners and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization * Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Strong statistical analysis skills ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS * Must be 21 years of age or older to apply * Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry Cresco Labs is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all applicants will be considered without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.
