What is the opportunity?
As the Compliance Analyst, you will support subject matter experts operating within the Compliance Risk Management Group ("CRMG"). Your ability to simultaneously identify, prioritize and address multiple issues and quickly respond to changing priorities will prove vital as you assist with all activities related to CRMG. In this fast-paced environment, you will assist with regulatory change management, compliance risk assessments, policies and procedures, compliance governance, senior management/board reporting, issues management, and other functions related to CRMG. Whether you're working independently or as a part of the team, your creative problem solving skills will help you resolve complex business matters.
What will you do?
Develop a strong understanding of RBC's regulatory change management processes and risk assessment methodology
Prepare training materials and communications for U.S. Compliance staff
Coordinate efforts around completion of annual risk assessments
Facilitate reporting on risk assessment results and escalate to management as necessary
Communicate key regulatory changes to U.S. Compliance staff (as appropriate)
Produce materials for use in Compliance committee meetings
Maintain lists of current Compliance-owned committees
Assist Head of CRMG with coordinating Compliance Governance processes
What do you need to succeed?
2+ years experience in a control environment (such as Compliance, Risk) preferably within the financial services industry
Strong attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.)
Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
Detailed understanding of compliance issues facing Bank Holding Companies, Foreign Banking Organizations, or equivalent
