OVERVIEW:

The Compliance Analyst will assist with the implementation, maintenance, and continuous monitoring of product safety and compliance initiatives. The Compliance Analyst will assist the Manager - Product Integrity with the coordination and administration of activities related to the Dick's Sporting Goods Product Integrity Program. These activities include: regulatory and legislative research, monitoring and advancement of current compliance programs, and data analysis procedures.

Program and Project Oversight:

• Oversee individual compliance projects & programs requiring the handling of highly sensitive/confidential/legal information

• Research, execute, and monitor national and private brand product recalls due to safety or quality issues

Risk Assessment & Audit:

• Complete audit plans for compliance programs, including the Company's policies and procedures around location restrictions, hazmat shipping, product testing, restricted substance list (RSL) and responsible minerals

• Perform risk assessments and root-cause analyses of potential substantial product hazards, develop corrective action plans and process improvement recommendations to mitigate risk

Continuous Improvement:

• Write and develop standards and procedures in support of the Company's Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance Policy

• Partner with key stakeholders across the business, including Legal, to evaluate and update policies and internal controls

Regulatory Tracking & Reporting:

• Manage the investigation, communication, and tracking of potential product safety issues with key business stakeholders, including Legal and Quality Assurance

• Track legislative and regulatory activity applicable to the Company

• Assist in identifying, communicating and containing compliance risks; proactively foster a compliance culture

• Perform industry benchmarking and research to inform product safety compliance strategy

• Prepare updates, reports and presentations detailing the status of active compliance initiatives in support of Executive Compliance Committee and New Store Leadership meetings

Program Training & Facilitation:

• Develop strategy around Compliance training framework, including content creation, cadence, identifying key reporting metrics, and monitoring of completion

• Assist with creation and implementation of all training materials related to assigned compliance projects, such as product safety trainings, overviews and anti-corruption/FCPA

• Facilitate training programs when necessary in various mediums including e-Learning courses, live presentations, communication materials, FAQs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business/organizational related, science, or law oriented field

• 1-3 years experience in corporate or regulatory compliance retail or other relevant experience

• Experience in policy and procedure governance preferred

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in a retail environment is an advantage

• Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Formal project management and or process improvement experience a plus.
