Job Description:

The Compliance Analyst works with the firm's compliance officers to evaluate, develop, maintain and oversee the firm's regulatory compliance programs, with a focus on electronic communications monitoring and compliance software analysis and implementation. The Compliance Analyst will be comfortable learning about and using technology to improve Compliance, and will assist the firm's eDiscovery Program Manager in the evaluation, development, oversight and support of eDiscovery and communication monitoring software. The Compliance Analyst will, with guidance from the supervisor, be responsible for electronic communications monitoring and analyzing, recommending and implementing software and process improvements.


  • Review of electronic communications, evaluate and improve queries

  • Assist with contract management system inquiries and responses for litigation and regulatory requests

  • Support various members of the Compliance staff on projects and initiatives

  • Assist with Compliance technology support and enhancements

  • Timely completion of projects and initiatives as required

  • Special projects as assigned

  • Manage daily responsibilities with utmost discretion


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Compliance, eDiscovery, technology or securities related experience is helpful

  • Knowledge of investment management concepts, interest in financial services industry

  • Sound professional judgment, analytical skills, curiosity and practicality. This includes the ability to gather information and synthesize it to identify problems, trends, and opportunities.

  • Knowledge of Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Investment Company Act of 1940, FINRA Rules, litigation process, technology project management, eDiscovery best practices a plus

  • Team oriented ability to apply analytical and decision-making skills in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines

  • Exceptional verbal, written and listening skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite

  • Able to quickly master new software applications

The Risk & Finance Core Services is a horizontal function within Risk and Finance CIO organization and is responsible for delivering data consistently across Risk & Finance. This role will report to Compliance and Operational Risk data lead and is responsible for enabling data consumption from the Risk & Finance Core data platform to the Compliance and Operational Risk Applications * Works on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of numerous factors. * Interacts with customers and functional peer group engineers. * Design high performing data models on big-data architecture to deliver retail, wholesale, securities & derivatives product data; and customer/party/product/account master reference data as data services. * Design, develop solutions to support metadata, data lineage and data quality capabilities across the Risk & Finance Core Platform. * Design and build high performing and scalable data pipeline platform using Hadoop (MapR, Horton Works, Cloudera etc), Apache Spark and Amazon S3 based object storage architecture. * Design and build the data services on container-based architecture such as Kubernetes and Docker. * Build and operate the data services platform that supports real-time and batch data sourcing/provisioning, data processing, data analytics and BI/reporting. * Deliver data solutions by collaborating with other vertical and horizontal functions within Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology and broader Enterprise Information Technology groups. This is a critical role for Compliance Data, reporting and analytic organization. The resource will be responsible for doing data analysis, technical analysis, and design for one or more compliance domains, including and not limited to: * Trade/Market Surveillances (spanning all traded products / asset classes for both EQ & FI, globally) * AML/Financial Crimes/Customer Due diligence * Equity Aggregation (including Takeover Panel reporting) * Employee Investment Monitoring (including approved broker-dealer data feeds) * Control Room (management of Gray List/Watch List/IB Deals Conflict) * Compliance Aggregated Risk Assessment * Laws, Rules & Regs management * Compliance Sampling/Monitoring/Testing * Compliance & Ops Risk Reporting The preferred work location is AZ-Chandler,NC-Charlotte or NJ-Summit. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to AZ-Chandler,NC-Charlotte or NJ-Summit with limited to no relocation assistance.
