Position Title: Compliance Analyst 1
Physical Locaton: 3401 Colonnade Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35243, or, 499 Air Park Road, Tupelo, MS 38803
Reports To: Regulatory Compliance Manager
Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions
Job Group Category: Non-Exempt
Work Hours: 8:00am 5:00pm (Monday Friday)
To assist in the monitoring efforts of the bank's operation functions in an effort to ensure that compliance with laws, rules, regulations and other requirements are being adhered to as developed by Compliance Department Management.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Review policies, procedures and provide general compliance support to business divisions of the bank
Perform periodic monitoring reviews based on compliance risk and report the findings to Compliance Management and Division Management
Should any corrective action be necessary, test results of the implementation or completion
Update and maintain internal compliance procedures and processes related to periodic monitoring
Complete compliance training as assigned and/or necessary to remain updated on regulation compliance matters
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Banking & Finance with 1-2 years bank experience is preferred OR a minimum of 5-7 years of banking experience
Excellent attendance record and performance reviews will be considered
Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic and utilize strong judgment in making decisions
Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a demanding work environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and demonstrate proficient computer skills
