Job Description
The primary role of the Compliance Agent (TSA IACSC Alternate) is to be responsible for assisting the Director of Compliance with all company compliance regarding the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), International Air Transportation Association (IATA) and Dangerous Goods/Hazmat regulation certifications. The Compliance Agent is responsible for guiding the stations with the current TSA rules and regulations regarding the Indirect Air Carrier Standard Security Program (IACSSP) and Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF), keeping Known Shipper Data (KSD) current and uploading known/unknown status to the appropriate internal shipping portals, auditing reports from various systems and taking appropriate action, to assist in driving compliance with all existing and future TSA security programs. The Compliance Agent must possess strong leadership and the ability to self start. Job duties may be added or taken away due to operational / business needs and requirements.
In this position, the Compliance Agent is responsible for:
Known Shipper Management System (KSMS) updates in shipping portals.
KSMS status results in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Website.
Veroot Updates in Indirect Air Carrier Management System (IACMS).
Veroot Updates in shipping portals regarding TSA Agent Status.
Processing Security Threat Assessment (STA's) in IACMS.
Sending back STA application correction request to stations.
Grading TSA Training.
Filing TSA Training in Docushare under correct station profile.
Filing STA Application in Docushare under correct station profile.
Completing TSA Inspections that come in for Stations, Airports or Backtracks.
Station Audits for TSA Compliance.
KSMS Audits for Known Shippers.
Agent Audits for TSA Compliance Status in shipping portals.
IATA Audits for stations to make sure they have Hazmat/DG employees who are certified.
The ability to recognize possible station infractions regarding TSA Inspections.
The ability to maintain confidential information.
The ability to remain current on new TSA Rules and Regulations.
The ability to remain focused and professional when a station is upset on the phone.
QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Education and Industry Knowledge
High School Diploma and/or related trade certification.
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in Freight Forwarding
Freight Forwarding experience is an asset.
Strong knowledge of North American geography.
Experience in Transportation or Logistics industry is an asset.
Background in TSA / IATA Hazmat DG is an asset.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of IACMS, Veroot, KSMS is an asset.
Working knowledge of Transportation Management Software is an asset e.g. SAP, Cargowise.

Work Schedule
Set working hours of 8 hours per day with requisite meal and rest breaks.
Physical Demands:

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
