Competitive Intelligence and Enablement Director

Job Description:


  • Provide actionable competitive intelligence and strategy to win deals against the competition.

  • Leverage testing of competitive offers from TME teams to identify product gaps, competitive differentiation, and link the outputs to valuable sales and marketing collateral.

  • Assimilate information about competitor's technologies, product strategy, go-to- market strategy and messaging, and develop compelling competitive counter positioning and narrative.

  • Develop, own and maintain competitive sales enablement tools for sellers, including battlecards, playbooks and presentations.

  • Deliver training to Aruba sellers and channel partners on competitive differentiation on an ongoing basis.

  • Collaborate with key SMEs and Market Intelligence team to track, analyze, and share timely responses to competitive announcements and FUD.


  • 5+ years experience in a similar role within the networking industry

  • Field experience highly desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze competitor's products, strategy, and messaging, deposition competitors, and develop counter positioning

  • Ability to translate technical features into business value to differentiate Aruba

  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing enablement and training content for field and channel partners

  • Critical thinker with strong writing, communication, presentation development and delivery skills

  • Ability to navigate culture and politics across multiple functions

  • Highly collaborative, able to work across functional teams

  • Detail oriented, well organized, efficient with time management

  • Comfortable working with senior leadership

  • Executive presence and demeanor

Responsibilities: * Create and demonstrate replicable proof of concepts that highlight key value proposition of our enterprise security products. * Research, analyze and keep up to date tab on competitive landscape, solution positioning and market strategies to deliver competitive business insights and thought leadership * Create compelling competitive collateral in the form of battle cards, technical briefs, webinars and blogs for Sales, Systems Engineering and Partners. * Perform hands-on testing of Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall capabilities and compare with competitor's product offerings * Partner with Product Marketing, Product Management and Sales to strengthen our leadership in enterprise security * Drive the success of customer engagements by assisting our field personnel with competitive differentiation both on a tactical and strategic level. Qualifications: * Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls * 2+ years of a work experience in Sales, Systems Engineering, Professional Services or Consulting in a technical capacity * Experience in building a successful competitive intelligence framework and maintaining a test lab for technical analysis.
