Safeway / Albertsons Companies is looking to staff a new role of an executive compensation cum equity/stock analyst. The person will be a part of the corporate compensation team supporting compensation and equity programs.
The Executive Compensation/Equity Analyst will assist in developing, implementing, and providing analytical expertise in the design and administration of compensation programs and processes for the organization, including base pay, bonus, long term cash plans and equity plans.
Executive Compensation/ Compensation analysis (70%)
Participate in industry specific and general market surveys to ensure competitive position of compensation programs. Performs comprehensive analysis and makes recommendations on salary/wage management.
Support team in base and bonus administration
Develop analysis and recommendations on pay proposals
Participate in analysis special or adhoc projects related to compensation
Prepare executive compensation proxy tables and related materials.
Lead/support other executive compensation projects
Equity Compensation (30%)
Prepare forecasting analysis on stock/ equity pool utilization
Prepare adhoc reports as required
Administer long term cash plans ensuring data integrity, conducting data audits, preparing reports, working in partnership with payroll, finance and accounting and HR partners.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or related field or study. MBA is plus.
Advanced excel and analytical skills; ability to synthesize data to support findings and recommendations
Minimum 2 years equity administration, compensation and/or analytical experience. Executive compensation experience is a plus
Customer service oriented
Must be a team player and have ability to take ownership of work product
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups and other advanced functions)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to appreciate a fast changing business environment and the need for urgency. Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities under tight deadlines
Ability to take ambiguity in stride
Ability to handle extremely confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
