Working in conjunction with Total Rewards leaders, the Senior Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for the creation of new and the maintenance of existing processes and programs that will ensure the organization's Total Rewards initiatives reflect our strategy to attract, motivate and retain our talented workforce. Responsible for planning and executing various total rewards programs (in Compensation, Physician Compensation and Employee Benefits), this role contributes directly to large-scale system-wide projects related to strategic Total Rewards initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Compensation, the role functions as a key member of the broader Total Rewards team by providing analytical, technical and programmatic expertise in the formulation and design of Total Rewards programs.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Provide advanced analysis and generates/creates complex reporting; create and manipulate large sets of compensation and total rewards data.
Uses data to model and forecast data trends relating to total rewards data. Develops business focused recommendations to management and leadership based on analysis and data trends.
Prepares summaries, formal reports and proposals by consolidating and packaging data together to tell a story or make a compelling business case.
Creates metrics, dashboards and tracks other key metrics in support of total rewards department or key system-wide initiatives.
Prepares a variety of standard and ad hoc reports on employee data, including reports for compensation planning and audits.
Partners with key HR stakeholders to develop and maintain Total Rewards reporting tools and dashboards that provide insight for improved decision making.
Collaborate with HRIS and HR IT to optimize data processes and systems for maintaining data integrity and streamlining data analysis. Identifies opportunities to automate / streamline reports, and redesign reports for greater efficiency.
Partners with HRIS and HR IT to ensure that Workday configuration meets the needs of the Total Rewards function and is updated to reflect changes to Total Rewards programs.
Total Rewards Program Management
Collaborates with the Director of Compensation and broader Total Rewards team on a variety of projects, including program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new and existing programs.
Conducts Total Reward program audits for compliance related purposes, such as minimum wage, FLSA, and overtime status.
Creates trainings and materials to educate managers and employees on total rewards programs and policies.
Manages the annual bonus process by partnering with Human Resources and working across business units to establish eligibility.
Provide project and program management to various Total Rewards programs. Engages partners and project participants to deliver project goals. Manage projects such as annual market pricing, annual salary survey participation, and salary structure maintenance.
May assist with the implementation and administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, employee assistance, retirement, ACA compliance, and other plans for benefit plan year.
May assist with the annual update of provider compensation plans.
May support and participate in the salary survey administration process by assisting with data submission to survey vendors and/or creating reporting/analytics associated with the annual salary survey process.
Manage the logistical aspects of the Annual Award process, including the nomination and selection process as well as the Annual Award luncheon.
Formulate and lead program system-wide teams to facilitate, communicate and implement effective employee recognition tactics and programs at the organizational and Business Unit level.
Act as point of contact to key employee recognition vendors to ensure continuity of service an d
Ensure that the employee recognition program is being appropriately utilized according to the program policies spirting and intent.
Creates and drives regular employee recognition communications and updates across the organization.
Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for employee recognition program. Track program against schedule, budget and other organizational objectives by reporting status to stakeholders and leaders.
Maintain and configure Total Rewards systems and data analysis tools.
Perform data uploads and conduct system access/administration for compensation systems, such as MarketPay.
Identify opportunities for process and systems administration improvement, recommend solutions and implement approved improvements.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related field.
Allina Health Systems
