As a Compensation Partner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair and competitive compensation practices within our organization. You will be responsible for analyzing salary data, conducting market research, and making recommendations to ensure that our compensation packages attract, retain, and motivate top talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of internal and external salary data to evaluate the competitiveness of our compensation packages.

  • Research and benchmark industry trends and best practices to ensure our compensation strategies remain competitive and compliant with legal requirements.

  • Collaborate with HR business partners, talent acquisition partners and hiring managers to understand job requirements and establish appropriate salary ranges for new and existing positions.

  • Develop and maintain job classification and salary structures to ensure internal equity and consistency across the organization.

  • Assist in the design and implementation of incentive programs and other compensation initiatives to drive employee performance and engagement.

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders regarding compensation-related matters.

  • Partner with finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation-related data and payments.

  • Stay up-to-date on legislative changes and industry trends affecting compensation practices and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

  • Provide guidance and support to HR colleagues and managers on compensation-related inquiries and issues.

  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives related to compensation and total rewards as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) is a plus.

  • 3-5 yeas proven experience as a Compensation Analyst or similar role, preferably in a corporate or HR consulting environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in compensation benchmarking methodologies, market pricing techniques, and job evaluation methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Experience with HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of compensation and total rewards.

Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
