RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with HR Management on compensation projects (bonus, salary review and market surveys).

  • Develops procedures to streamline processes related to compensation matters to ensure successful government audits and support the HR Director to educate Managers on compensation related issues.

  • Makes recommendations to leaders in the development of long-range compensation and incentive objectives considering such factors as corporate growth objectives.

  • Works with HRIS to ensure system meets compensation updates and requirements.

  • Serves as the primary interface with Business Development for any compensation inquiries and helps research compensation solutions and strategies.

  • Conducts quality analysis to determine best practices and standards for HR operations.

  • Manages wage survey submissions for all compensation reporting and DCAA audits.

  • Stays abreast on compensation trends, legal issues, and alerts in order to make recommendations for improvement areas.

  • Works in conjunction with Recruiting Department in the development of job description criteria, including coding of FLSA status, salary grades, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or applicable field.

  • Seven years of HR experience in a corporate setting, with at least five years dedicated compensation experience.

  • CCP Certification preferred.

  • Experience working with a government contracting multi-national or global company.

  • Must have knowledge of multi-state laws and regulations, as well as HR quality/compliance standards and practices.

  • Exceptional system/HRIS and spreadsheet skills required.

  • ADP experience strongly preferred.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.

  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.

RESPONSIBILITIES Under general supervision and direction, provides technical expertise, administration and analysis of compensation and benefits programs. Develops and maintains compensation structure to optimize recruiting and maximize retention. Assists with the day-to-day administration of various employee benefit plans to include retirement programs, medical, dental, disability, etc. * Participates in compensation surveys, conducts benchmarking, analyzes and makes recommendations on compensation structures and policies. * Supports the annual merit, bonus and long-term incentive process by preparing spreadsheets, reviewing recommendations and consolidating data for approval. * Ensures that the ADP system compensation data is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc. * Reviews new hire, promotion and off-cycle increases for equity and compliance. * Consults with managers requesting new positions, providing guidance on completing the job description and conducts benchmarking to gain approval for salary grade slotting of position. * Keeps apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance. * Writes, maintains, and generate benefit reports/queries utilizing reporting tools and software. * Creates calendar of audits indicating the plan, name of the report(s) needed and frequency of each audit. Create documentation of any major audit corrections needed. * Works effectively to make sure the plans run smoothly. Investigates discrepancies and provides information in non-routine situations. * Manages administration of 401(k) Plan including, but not limited to, gathering data for and managing the Plan audit, compile and submit all data for non-discrimination testing, funding, monitoring and processing the feedback files. * Performs benefit plans system audits. * Analyzes, researches, and audits benefit information to identify discrepancies. * Explains and communicates benefit plan information to employees. * Provides recommendation to management to facilitate changes and enhancements to benefits plans and programs. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferred. * 5 years of experience in administration of compensation and benefits programs and policies to include maintenance of compensation and benefits systems data. * Benefits administration and HRIS experience with ADP preferred. * Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs. * Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and ACA. * Excellent computer skills. Requires advanced skills in Excel and intermediate to advanced skills in Word. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. * Advanced organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. * Ability to handle a heavy workload, prioritize work and meet deadlines. * Ability to work independently, initiate and identify solutions. * An analytical mindset with ability to troubleshoot systems-related issues.
