Compensation Consultant

Location: San Jose

  • Ensure alignment of incentive/reward elements with culture, strategy and operational goals

  • Work with the Recruiting team worldwide to ensure new hire offer packages align with market and internal peers by applying Power Integrations compensation policies in fair and equitable ways

  • Research and develop recommendations for annual budget adjustments to maintain internal and external equity in compensation planning

  • Work with IT and HR Generalist to ensure that all HR systems meet compliance standards and are updated to reflect any changes

  • Collaborate with business partners, in HR and Finance to design compensation plans and compensation budget

  • Drive the annual merit and Focal Process, and support sales incentive plan design and execution

  • Responsible for evaluating job descriptions, market pricing, global salary survey participation (Mercer and Radford)

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • A minimum of 4-7 years related experience in compensation

  • MS Office proficiency, especially in Excel (VLOOKUP, Match Index, Pivot Tables), is required

  • Solid understanding of employee compensation and total rewards programs

  • Ability to create and conduct complex analytics using Excel and other tools as needed

  • Must possess knowledge of HRIS such as Oracle, SumTotal, ECM, and ATS (Jobvite)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, efficiently prioritize projects and embrace new challenges

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with state and federal labor laws and regulations as it relates to compensation. Experience with immigration and relocation is an added plus

Coordinates and communicates business requirements for all Compensation Programs with HRIT. * Maintain uniform global compensation standards in regard to job creation, matches, leveling, incumbent slotting * Assist in developing training and communication materials to educate and ensure understanding of total rewards * Collaborate with Compensation team to ensure consistent global approach to program & policies, while identifying local needs for region and subjects of accountability * Researching and analyzing data to determine appropriate salary level and job title for new positions and current job matches * Assist in preparing statistical analysis, data modeling and costing base compensation * Provide support to HR colleagues concerning interpretation of compensation practices and guidelines * Manage ongoing and ad hoc compensation projects QUALIFICATIONSAND EXPERIENCE: * Experience using Radford, Mercer and other surveys * Administration experience using HR Systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft or Workday * Experience supporting global merit, bonus, performance rating and/or equity programs. * 3 years' experience in an analytical role, including demonstrated use of compensation principals and best practices. * Experienced in development, program management and implementation of policies and programs in a dynamic, changing organization * Excellent organizational, process and program management skills * Proficient Excel skills is a must. * Exceptional written and verbal skills * Team player, self-starter, bias for on time delivery * Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and high-quality work products * Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Management or equivalent area of study. * CCP or CBP certification or coursework preferred Ifyou have what it takes to push boundaries and seize opportunities, apply tojoin our team today.
