What Compensation contributes to Cardinal Health

  • Compensation is responsible for identifying, designing and recommending competitive compensation programs that attract and retain employees, driving performance and results, and providing rewards and recognition for individuals and teams.

  • Consults with HR and Business Leaders to develop and administer solutions for compensation-related issues. Participates in the development of short and long-term compensation strategies, plans and objectives to effectively address business needs.

  • Interprets internal and external market drivers to evaluate current compensation programs and recommends/implements changes to improve program effectiveness.

  • Applies incentive/reward theory and best practices in support of the development of programs.

  • Creates new and leverages current compensation tools/methodologies in the strategic design of compensation programs.

  • Participates in merger and acquisition activities including reviewing current compensation programs of newly acquired companies and creating strategy for integrating newly acquired employees into Cardinal Health's current compensation programs.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Provide compensation consultation HR Business Partners and business teams within client group.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders in developing strategies and designing solutions for compensation-related matters.

  • Provide support in the analysis, development, implementation, and ongoing support of organization compensation programs

  • Formulate and present recommendations

  • Project manage any mergers, acquisitions or divestitures within client group.

  • Responsible for assisting with annual market pricing, Job level determination (including FLSA assessment), data analysis and US pay structure modeling and implementation.

  • Supports the annual compensation planning process which includes merit increases, short term and long term incentive payouts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • 4+ years' experience in related field, preferred

  • Certified Compensation Professional or Global Remuneration Professional certification, preferred

  • Demonstrated ability for job evaluation and market pricing

  • Ability to manage projects

  • Aptitude for heavy data analysis

  • Proficient in Microsoft office software such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Self direct work

Supports executive hire and exit processes. * Oversees broker administration and reporting of all equity compensation, answers inquiries regarding stock plans and ensures compliance with appropriate tax and legal filings. * Consults and educates executives regarding their total rewards offerings. * Prepares Human Resources and Compensation Committee meeting materials. * Works with Finance to ensure proper budgeting, forecasting and recording of annual and long-term incentives. * Participates in merger and acquisition activities including reviewing current executive compensation packages of newly acquired companies and creating a strategy for integrating into Cardinal Health's executive compensation programs.
