Role Overview

The Compensation & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the global strategy, leadership, and administration of compensation (including sales compensation) programs and Health and Welfare benefits programs. You will focus on providing programs, processes, and procedures that support business growth, reinforce the culture, and drive employee satisfaction. This position will be responsible for providing leadership, consultation and facilitation to the company's management team and for process improvement for all benefits and compensation.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

Develop and execute a multi-year Total Rewards strategy to enable TeleTracking to be competitive in the marketplace to be able to attract and retain top talent.

  • Compensation:

  • Responsible for all global compensation programs including assessment, design, development, implementation, and communication of sales incentive compensation, base and variable compensation, and non-qualified deferred compensation programs.

  • Consults and provides guidance to all levels within the organization (Sales leadership, HR business partners, managers and executives) related to compensation policies, practices, programs, compensation philosophy, and compliance requirements; may consult and provide guidance on job design and organizational structure.

  • Conduct ongoing compensation benchmarking and analysis to maintain competitive compensation practices.

  • Balance market competitiveness with internal equity, to ensure internal equity. Build and maintain a base and variable compensation structure and conduct job evaluations to ensure internal job placement is at the appropriate grade, job classification, and bonus level.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to standardize job levels and career ladders across the organization, and lead efforts to ensure consistency in salary structures across all job functions.

  • Manage the year-end merit and bonus process.

  • Sales Compensation:

  • Lead creation of sales compensation plans and delivery of plan documents.

  • Establish process for compensation design and drive necessary analytics and support during design process; works with Sales, HR, Finance and Executive Leaders.

  • Oversee analysis to determine effectiveness of sales compensation plans.

  • Responsible for the facilitation of monthly sales governance committee who is responsible for the management, and interpretation and compliance of the Plan.

  • Benefits:

  • Design, innovate and execute on health, welfare, and time off benefits to attract and retain talent.

  • Lead the selection and design of health care programs, life and disability and time off in partnership with our broker/partners and with an eye towards innovation, standard methodology, cost and value to employees and Company.

  • Review and analyze the benefits market to determine employee needs, trends, regulations and practices, and develop competitive programs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Deep experience analyzing compensation and benefit data.

  • Knowledge of HR, benefits, and applicable regulatory environment and industry trends impacting compensation design and health and welfare plans.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Customer focused, ability to form relationships with all levels of the organization.

  • Problem solver that balances multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.

Work-Related Experience

  • 3+ years overall HR business experience, and some international experience is preferred.

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success designing, implementing, and leading compensation, and health and welfare plans.

  • Ability to effectively analyze data to make strategic recommendations and influence business decisions that balance a competitive compensation plan with fiscal responsibility.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field or professional working experience. (Required)
  • Certified Compensation Professional or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (Preferred or willing to obtain while in the role within first 2 years)
