Become a strategic player in a collaborative human resources team as a Compensation and Benefits Manager at a large multi-state law firm. Drive the performance management and compensation programs. Collaborate with benefits broker to source and implement highest quality benefit packages.
Compensation
Develop, maintain, and implement compensation and benefits programs and policies, including salary administration, compensation communication and performance evaluation process.
Manage the salary process to ensure the organization is competitively positioned in the marketplace.
Provide compensation reports on ad hoc basis.
Advise managers re salary adjustments.
Oversee onboarding process.
Benefits
Plans and directs employee and partner benefit program such as retirement plan, medical, dental and vision plans, disability, and life insurance.
Analyzes current benefits and compares to similar organizations. Recommends changes where appropriate.
Develop and implement communication strategy to drive participation and employee understanding.
Act as employee advocate when appropriate to make certain plan strategies are met.
Works with broker/consultant to explore new benefit options, amend and/or enhance existing policies, improve benefits communication, and negotiate new contracts and renewals with product vendors.
Successful candidate will bring:
Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
7+ years of experience in compensation and/or benefits management preferred.
Experience in administering self-funded benefit plan a plus.
