Job Description

Workday is looking for a versatile and experienced professional to join the team as an Compensation Analyst. The ideal candidate is able to consistently execute on tasks and has an eye for process improvement. He/she is a creative problem solver and views challenges as opportunities to enhance their technical skill-set. Above all else, he/she brings a strong sense of ownership to any project they are assigned and delivers high-quality results. This role will be responsible for performing key analyses during month-end close, developing processes for managing exceptions, and will assist on special projects to improve the end-to-end commissions process.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and deliver monthly/quarterly dashboards and reports on quota and earnings performance for senior leadership in Finance and Sales

  • Develop scalable business processes for key duties, including but not limited to: credit/commission validation, compensation plan document generation, payroll submission

  • Respond to queries from Sales and cross-functional partners regarding commission payout, sales performance, and commission plans

  • Participate in the annual commission plan design cycle and perform analyses to inform potential plan improvements and design changes

  • Participate in and/or lead various special projects, as assigned

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of work experience, preferably in Finance, Sales Compensation, or Operations

  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments

  • Strong proficiency in Excel (array formulas, VBA)

  • Bachelors in Business, Finance, Mathematics or other analytical discipline

  • Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written)

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within team and cross-functionally

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Experience working with ICM tools: Xactly, Callidus, or Oracle Incentive Compensation

  • Experience in administering sales commissions

  • Experience in working with data reporting tools (Microsoft Access, Business Objects, OBIEE, etc.)

  • Interest and/or experience in project management

  • Proficient in PowerPoint

Our new leader will manage and oversee the technical claims product in all jurisdictions. What You Will be Doing: Manages and oversees Technical Product of claims operations nationally * Assures that all ICW practices and procedures and state regulations governing the processing of claims and reporting of losses are practiced daily for all claims operation and jurisdictions. * Submits cases/files exceeding own settlement and reserve authority with comments to the claims leader. * Directs the management team in the handling of claims to ensure that they are handled in compliance with best practice expectations and applicable state laws. * Ensures claims are processed aggressively to achieve the best possible result and an acceptable closing ratio. Develops a team of claims managers and oversees the claims region assigned * Provides strategic and tactical direction to workers' compensation claims regions. Communicates Mission, Values and other organization operating principles to direct and indirect reports. * Establishes and maintains the overall work cadence and, in partnership with other Workers' Compensation Claims leaders, ensures performance and outcomes strive for excellence in delivery and customer experience. Ensures that the entire team is engaged and that leadership practices in the department encourage development, recognition and retention. * Acts as a resource for workers' compensation claims leaders and team members to answer questions and solve complex problems. * Manages department budget, technology and other resources, workload and customer requests. Ensures adherence to all Company policies and procedures and compliance responsibilities. * Ensures quality, adherence to Company security guidelines, profitability and other risk-related metrics for self and members of the team. Develops and a team of claims litigation professionals and manages the claims litigation division within the company specific to WCC. * Provides strategic and tactical direction to workers' compensation claims litigation team. Communicates Mission, Values and other organization operating principles to direct and indirect reports. * Establishes and maintains the overall work cadence and, in partnership with other Company leaders, ensures performance and outcomes strive for excellence in delivery and customer experience. Ensures that the entire team is engaged and that leadership practices in the department encourage development, recognition and retention. * Establishes and holds managers accountable to hiring criteria, on-boarding and training requirements for incoming staff. * Oversees the performance management and development process for the department and performs performance management duties, development planning and coaching for direct reports. * Acts as a resource for worker's compensation claims leaders and team members to answer questions and solve complex problems. * Manages department budget, technology and other resources, workload and customer requests. Ensures adherence to all Company policies and procedures and compliance responsibilities. * Ensures quality, adherence to Company security guidelines, profitability and other risk-related metrics for self and members of the team. This Position has Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises multiple teams including branch managers, technical, and non-technical team members within Regional Branches and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting performance and salary reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to further their skills and knowledge; creating and monitoring development plans; setting performance expectations/goals; forecasting staffing needs and planning for peak times and absences; enforcing department policies and procedures. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred; area/field, or related degree preferred, legal or litigation background preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications, Licenses & Registrations: Adjuster Certification of Workers' Compensation may be required depending on Branch and/or State. Knowledge & Skills: Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a collaborative manner. Must possess excellent verbal communication skills, time management skills, and problem solving abilities.
