Job Summary

Critical to the needs of the business, this role performs ongoing review and analysis of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay and salary administration, annual merit review, and bonus structuring. This role works with business leaders to analyze and effectively communicate pay structures, compensation budgets, and compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1.Advises managers on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines

2.Communication (e.g., guidance and compensation program features, plans, and options)

3.Compensation evaluation and analysis (e.g., job analysis, evaluation and classification, survey participation, policy, and benefits benchmark and review)

4.Compensation plan management (e.g., changes to base pay, short-term and long-term incentives, allowances etc.)

5.Compensation program design (e.g., salary and incentive structures, pay policy, etc.)

6.Conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.

7.Designs and communicates pay structures, compensation budgets, and guidelines.

8.Evaluates jobs and develops and maintains job descriptions and job coding.

9.Participates in annual compensation surveys and reviews.



  1. Vendor management (e.g., consultants for program design advice for the organization's compensation plan)

Minimum Job Requirements

1.Bachelor's degree in business administration or management or another related field.

2.Certification (CCP) is highly preferred.

3.Extremely strong MS Excel user including charts, graphs, and dashboards.

4.The compensation analyst level 1 will require a minimum of one (1) year in compensation planning experience. The analyst level 2 will require a minimum of three (3) years in compensation planning.

5.Must be able to analyze complex benefits and compensation concepts, perform mathematical and statistical analysis.

6.Must be highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.

7.Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs and ERP applications.

8.Strong communication and counseling skills, with a focus on customer service.

Physical Requirements

1.May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis

2.Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures

3.Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis

4.Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day

5.Will lift, push or pull objects up to 501bs on an occasional basis.

6.Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.

7.Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
