Shared services teams are headquartered in Middleton, Wisconsin but have members across the country.

Job Summary

The Compensation Analyst provides compensation expertise by advising and directly supporting Human Resources team members in providing compensation solutions covering a wide range of pay programs including job structure and salary range development, base pay administration, and pay guidance. This position serves as a collaborative team-member in the design, development, and implementation of corporate-wide compensation programs, practices, policies and procedures that are competitive, cost-effective, and equitable. Leads projects and initiatives impacting pay plans and policies and coordinates and collaborates with cross-functional teams in the development and implementation. In addition, this role will conduct Compensation related research to support, recommend, and implement changes as well as to act as a subject matter expert in support of continuous improvement activities.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Incentive Administration:

  • Responsible for managing the overall administration and coordination of the company's Incentive plans, including the analysis and maintenance of the plans. Creates and owns the reports, data and analysis used to effectively evaluate the performance of the plans.

  • Creates and maintains plan documents including the preparation and distribution of various employee letters and statements.

  • Establishes credibility and influence by coordinating with team and division Leaders, Finance, Legal and Human Resources to ensure accurate processing and reporting of employee's incentive transactions.

  • Provides timely assistance and guidance to Human Resources Business Partners regarding incentive compensation analysis, program design, legal compliance, and incentive compensation issues. Will act as a subject matter expert in determining impact of plan changes.

  • Work closely with HRIS/Payroll team to maintain current and accurate incentive and employee information.

  • Maintain SOX and internal policy compliance as it pertains to incentive plan administration. Regularly reviews incentive payments reports for accuracy and completeness.

Compensation Analysis:

  • Conducts job analysis efforts to include recommending new and revised job descriptions by utilizing current job evaluation/market pricing methodology and applying Fair Labor Standards Act guidelines.

  • Supports Spectrum Brands Inc. overall compensation programs. Responsible for coordinating, administering and monitoring compensation programs (base and variable pay programs) to ensure alignment and support of compensation philosophy.

  • Ability to conduct research for salary surveys, job descriptions and compensation reviews to include special compensation analysis used to determine competitiveness and appropriateness of job classifications, auditing compensation for individuals and job groups and salary levels to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

  • Conducts market analysis of jobs by reviewing the scope of responsibilities and matching appropriately to comparable survey data.

  • Reviews salary actions for conformance to established guidelines and follows-up with managers as appropriate responding to questions from other HR staff and managers related to wage & hour issues.

  • Participates in and supports continuous improvement activities, including training, coaching and sharing of current processes and best practices.

  • Document and enhance programs, procedures, policies and controls.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a business related field.
  • 3+ years of Compensation experience, in lieu of direct Compensation experience, would consider experience working in a Human Resources Business Partner capacity with demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization including the ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management.

Required Skills

  • Sound knowledge of laws and regulations related to HR, specifically DOL, FLSA, EEO.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Attentive to detail and follow-up; deadline oriented; very strong ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Ability to work effectively with employees at remote sites and/or virtual teams.

  • Ability to maintain the high confidential nature and sensitivity to uphold human resources ethical standards.

Job Summary The Claims Analyst will be responsible for the collection and resolution of invalid deductions for our North America and Latin America customer base by performing root cause analysis and collaborating with internal departments to ensure the accuracy of billing information in an effort to maximize the recovery of disputed claims. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Analytical (70%): * Partner with Sales and Finance departments to resolve deduction issues relating to promotional and backend programs. * Reconciliation and deduction analysis within assigned portfolio. * Identify root causes needed to prevent future deductions. * Prepare and present collection reports and analytics to management. * Work directly with internal and external customers to resolve invalid customer deductions. * Assist with annual and quarterly audit reviews. * Maintains financial security by adhering to internal auditing controls. Transactional (25%): * Route deductions through approval workflow. * Process vouchers, invoice adjustments, and attach supporting documentation. * File claims when needed. Support (5%) * Develop relationships with key contacts through interaction with Sales, Customer Service, Credit, Finance, Supply Chain and Customers. * Ensure goals are met on items that include, but are not limited to: AR balance vs. plan, deduction aging for assigned portfolio. * Provide excellent customer service by maintaining rapport with customers and interacting comfortability with others. * Provide timely responses to customers and distributors. * Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Profile * Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance or Accounting * Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable * Previous reconciliation and analytic experience required * Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement * Bilingual in English and Spanish desired Required Skills * Previous SAP or related ERP experience desired * Microsoft Office experience; Specifically intermediate Excel Skill level * Effective organization, decision making and interpersonal skills * Ability to provide excellent customer service skills and skillfully handle confrontation * Exceptional attention to detail.
