Compensation Analyst

PAE is seeking a Compensation Analyst (Entry-Level) to contribute to the success of the Corporate Human Resources Department, Compensation. This position will be located in the Falls Church, VA office. Gain experience and exposure to the government contracting industry using your familiarity with current compensation databases: CompAnalyst, Culpepper, Western Management Group (WMG), HRA-NCA and HR Alliance. Have an applied desire, and interest to learn Information Technology industry compensation structure and data, then applying that research to current wage determinations. Interest in researching new and current Industry reporting tool and tactics combined with historical tools to build wage determinations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the administration of PAE's compensation structures and compensation philosophy across all functions and levels within a complex global Government Contracting organization under the supervision of our Compensation Manager.

  • With limited supervision and under general guidance, review job descriptions to determine FLSA classifications, salary ranges, and job mapping. Perform market data bench-marking for existing and new positions using various compensation surveys. Recommend benchmark jobs and calculate pay ranges.

  • Maintain and update job profiles, job grades, bonus targets and other compensation components in Workday.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders: Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and Human Resource Information Systems teams (HRIS) to validate existing data and to ensure continued accuracy of compensation data in company HRIS, Workday.

  • Support the annual merit review process, assist with the tracking and administration of the annual incentive plan, and process bonuses and other payments.

  • Maintain/update compensation documents such as job summaries, salary structure matrices, etc.

  • Participate in annual salary surveys, including preparation and submission of all required data elements.

  • Ensure effective communication and promotion of the company's compensation programs and practices.

  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2-3 years' experience as a Compensation Analyst, or as an HRBP supporting a complex matrix-ed Government contracting organization.

  • Preferred experience with HR analytics, or as an HRBP with an analytical mindset. Government contracting experience preferred.

  • Experience with WorkDay, or comparable complex HRIS systems.

  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment; ability to effectively prioritize tasks.

The candidate will work with a team of similar experience technicians to ensure the reliability and stability of the DAI application. DAI is an Oracle E-business Suite (EBS) R12.2.X requiring Tier 2/3 services using ITIL to support all EBS modules to include Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Budget to Report, Cost Accounting, Time and Labor, Acquire to Retire, Resale Accounting, Budget Formulation, Governance Risk Management and Compliance, Grants Financial Management, and Order to Fulfill. Sites where DAI is deployed to often has needs requiring assistance in accounting troubleshooting, diagnosing, installing, upgrading, monitoring, maintaining, and operating these applications. Support includes upgrades, migrations, maintenance, releases, service releases, and all developed scripts and utilities. The ideal candidate should be able to support the following activities: * Diagnosis, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to supported Oracle software solutions and related third-party software * Provide expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems and processes relating to the subject matter * Communicate findings to customer and client through ticketing system, email, and phone * Design system enhancements and perform integration and regression testing for system releases Responsibilities * Provide EBS/ERP service for users of the supported DAI Oracle ERP software solutions. * Use Serena Business Manager as the CRM tool to track all reported issues. * Possess board base knowledge on the supported DAI Oracle ERP suite of products including in-depth knowledge of technical and functional aspects of software solutions. Staff must possess an advanced understanding of DoD accounting. * Perform Root Cause Analysis on tickets. * Provide development and testing of diagnostic and manipulative scripts or utilities. * Produce metrics reports. * Develop SOPs in the areas of Master Data Maintenance, Account Creation, Downtime Notifications etc. Supported Technologies: * Oracle EBS (familiarity with, Serena Business Manager) Qualifications Provides technical knowledge and analysis of Oracle financials and Time & Labor application module and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the Government financial accounting subject matter for effective implementation. Participates as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
