Job Summary

Camden's Compensation Analyst is part of our HR Operations team and is responsible for ensuring that Camden is paying competitively to attract, engage and retain high performing employees. Reporting to the Compensation and Analytics Manager, the Compensation Analyst plays a key role in the development, implementation, documentation and administration of Camden's compensation programs, policies and procedures, and salary guidelines. Provides compensation expertise and support to management, HR partners, and talent acquisition teams. Conducts competitive pay assessments, evaluates jobs, and consults with the business on their compensation needs. The Compensation Analyst is data driven and detail oriented.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze and evaluate compensation programs including salary, bonus, incentive plans, and other rewards against market data to ensure competitive positioning.

  • Conduct equity analysis of roles in response to changing organizational needs, market values and geographic differentials.

  • Design and generate standard and ad-hoc reports to analyze and provide insights to enhance decision making and problem solving.

  • Assist with the design, implementation, and administration of the annual compensation cycle, merit increases and bonus programs.

  • Participate in compensation surveys and analyze results to assess compensation trends.

  • Assist with evaluating new job requests to identify alignment with existing jobs, including a review of existing structure, market analysis and determination of FLSA status.

  • Monitor local/state/federal compensation requirements and statutes to ensure compliance.

  • Actively support HR team members and cross-functional partners to look for opportunities to improve processes, policies, and service levels.

  • Prepare presentations that effectively summarize findings of compensation analysis, bring insights, and support recommendations.

  • Participate in all compensation related projects which involve revision, development, or redesign of existing compensation programs.

  • Work with the payroll, benefits, and HR partners to design and develop annual Total Rewards Statements.

  • Assist in the administration of the company's share incentive compensation plans and act as the liaison between external and internal stakeholders including transfer agents, outside broker service providers, auditors, and internal teams.

  • Assist in the administration of executive and deferred compensation plans, ensuring compliance with plan requirements and relevant laws and regulations.

  • Provide a superior level of customer service to employees and management through response to equity and compensation inquiries.

  • Maintain and enforce data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 2-4 years of compensation experience in pay plan administration, including experience with bonus and incentive plans in mid- to large-sized organizations.

  • Familiarity with data, benchmarking, and job level methodology of major survey providers.

  • Solid understanding of state and federal laws and regulations relating to compensation.

  • Demonstrated proficiency of working in Excel (e.g; vlookups, advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, etc.) and working with large data sets is required.

  • Experience with data extraction, analysis, and presentation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation and facilitation skills, as well as interpersonal and consultative skills.

  • Strong focus on quality of work and attention to detail.

  • Experience with analyzing and interpreting policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of collaboration and influence.

  • Adept at working with all levels or management within the organization.

  • Job is intermittently sedentary but requires mobility (i.e., climb stairs)

  • Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing

  • May require long hours and odd schedules (including weekends)

  • Position requires periodic travel by automobile to handle work-related activities
