Purpose of JobWe are currently seeking talented Compensaiton Advisor II - Variable Pay for our San Antonio, TX facility.

Responsible for the implementation and administration of total compensation programs, practices and policies. Ensures alignment with the total rewards philosophy and HR strategy. Provides guidance and solutions (Executive and/or Non-Executive) covering a wide range of compensation areas including base pay administration, short-term and long-term incentive pay administration, and salary guidance.

Job Requirements

  • Supports the implementation and administration of compensation programs, practices and policies (Executive and/or Non Executive).

  • Researches organizational trends, market data, and industry practices.

  • Assists with the design, development and assessment of compensation initiatives as needed.

  • Assists HR and business stakeholders to resolve issues with existing compensation programs, practices and policies.

  • Identifies appropriate issues for escalation.

  • Oversees data entry of compensation related information to appropriate databases and system resources, including HRIS and Case/Knowledge Management System.

  • Ensures accuracy and quality of data processed.

  • Administers compensation survey data and maintains database of job and survey related information.

  • Supports compensation projects and initiatives and serves on cross-functional teams.

  • Assists key stakeholders with the development and implementation of systems and processes which support compensation programs.

  • Conducts training to educate management and employees on compensation-related programs, practices and policies, ensuring compliance with legal standards and strategic alignment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required

  • 2 or more years relevant work experience in compensation discipline, or related experience in HR, Finance, or business sales operations to include general business consulting/analysis experience or business management experience, and developing knowledge of relevant compensation and/or HR laws

  • Developing knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other software to be used to develop analysis, charts, and/or supporting documentation

  • Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.*

Preferred

  • 2+ years incentive compensation plan design and/or financial modeling experience

  • Risk, compliance and/or audit governance experience

  • Incentive compensation plan administration experience

Under minimal supervision, performs moderately complex to complex work assignments and problem resolution within a CoSA and enterprise-wide projects. Guides the business on compliance strategy implementation in the pursuit of business solutions. Job Requirements * Conducts reviews of laws and regulations for business impact. * Completes accurate risk assessments, develops recommendations and coordinates with appropriate counsel. * Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature. * Utilizes strong leadership skills in interacting with counsel, customers or team members. * Builds processes and relationships that facilitate productive teamwork. * Provides compliance input on business action plans, projects or operational requests. * Gathers information, analyzes data trends, identifies root cause(s), and provides information to the business or project teams. * Serves as the subject matter expert to ensure documents, projects, processes or product initiatives comply with regulatory and legal requirements and enterprise policy. * Provides industry knowledge and/or skills expertise for work assignments. * Identifies outstanding compliance issues and oversees proper implementation of business requirements. * Demonstrates knowledge of how own area links to other key areas of the company and identifies new ways of doing business. * Monitors and assures compliance with regulatory requirements reporting and maintains relationships with regulatory agencies as directed. * Coordinate and responds to regulatory requirements and requests. * Conducts compliance assessments through self assessment program and examinations. Minimum Requirements * 4+ years fraud experience in financial services to include direct investigator experience and proven proficiency writing SAR's, quality reviews, and providing coaching/feedback. * Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree. * Advanced knowledge of relevant regulatory data sources. * Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques. * Advanced knowledge of relevant industry regulations. * Advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred * Current USAA consultant supporting Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) process. * 3+ years Advanced knowledge of BSA/AML Regulatory Reporting, USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC requirements. * Proven experience with both Fraud and AML investigations. * Current Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certifications.
