COMMUNITY SUPPORT SUPERVISOR

ITCD (Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders)

Columbia, Missouri

Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Support Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to a team of Community Support Specialists, leveraging advanced knowledge of psychological concepts, evidence-based interventions, and coordination of mental health services to promote the well-being of our clients. The ITCD (Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders) team provides support and activities through an organized treatment plan designed to ease an individual's immediate and continued adjustment to community living. The Supervisor will be responsible for conducting initial and annual psychosocial assessments, developing client-centered, strengths-based treatment plans, and providing clinical oversight and guidance to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular individual supervision and administrative team meetings to ensure team members receive necessary support and guidance.

  • Offer clinical oversight and guidance for client treatment on an as-needed basis, including updates to annual treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with team members to identify case management needs and ensure effective management of client cases.

  • Provide backup support to team members when unavailable or in need of additional expertise.

  • Ensure timely completion of all documentation of services in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Regularly review and monitor written documentation to ensure compliance with documentation requirements, particularly for new team members.

  • Coach and provide opportunities for growth to team members through positive praise, constructive feedback, and disciplinary action when necessary.

  • Conduct intakes and annual assessments, including documenting diagnoses, psychosocial histories, key clinical findings, recommendations, and other aspects requiring the services of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

  • Participate in the development of master, annual, and 90-day reviews of treatment plans, utilizing a client-centered and strengths-based approach.

  • Facilitate and participate in clinical staffing of clients requiring a higher level of care or more extensive consultation for treatment.

  • Facilitate the hiring and training of new staff as needed.

  • Evaluate each team member according to established performance evaluation guidelines.

  • Review all travel vouchers and certify mileage claimed is reasonable and for medically necessary activities; audit Electronic Health Records (EHR) to verify service provision.

Qualifications:

  • QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) as evidenced by:

Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field who has successfully completed a practicum or has 1 year of experience under the supervision of a qualified mental health professional

OR...

  • Qualifying experience as evidenced by:

3 years of population-specific experience providing community support services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or intellectual/developmental disabilities. Experience must include at least 1 of the following :

1.Providing one-on-one or group services with a rehabilitation/habilitation and recovery/resiliency focus;

2.Teaching and modeling for individuals how to cope and manage psychiatric, developmental, or substance use disorder issues while encouraging the use of natural resources;

3.Supporting individuals in their efforts to find and maintain housing, employment, and/or to function appropriately in families, school and communities;

4.Assisting individuals to achieve the goals and objectives on their individual treatment plans.

OR....

  • QAP (Qualified Addictions Professional) as evidenced by:

Active credentials as CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, RADC, RADC-P, CCDP, or CCDP-D.

Additional Qualifications & Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Valid driver's license required within two (2) weeks of employment.

  • Access to a personal vehicle for occasional transport of clients.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Advanced knowledge of psychological concepts and evidence-based interventions.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to manage and mentor a team.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, families, and community partners.

  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with individuals with mental health challenges.
