Community Service Patrol Officer

Under the general supervision of the Police Sergeant, the CSP is responsible for the transport and care of individuals that are intoxicated and to assist police officers in daily operations as needed. The CSP conducts routine safety patrols, interacting with the general public and relaying problems to Dispatch. In addition, the CSP is responsible for maintaining their work areas and equipment in a clean and professional manner.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or the equivalent Past work experience that demonstrates ability to work with the public. Valid Alaska Drivers' License Bilingual in the Yup'ik language highly desirable. First aid and CPR or EMT training is highly desireable.

Special Requirements

This position is one that engages with the public on a daily basis and is considered a public trust position. An applicant must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal records background check to be considered for this position. An applicant must be able to obtain and maintain an Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) security clearance.

Miscellaneous Information

An individual in this position must be able to work holidays, weekends, and varying shifts up to 12 hour per day.
