Position Summary: Program Specialist Assistant

The Program Specialist Assistant at Big Brothers Big Sisters will actively engage with the community, volunteers, children, and families to facilitate and sustain impactful mentorship relationships. This role involves diverse tasks, including but not limited to enrolling volunteers and children, recruiting mentors at events, supporting match relationships, and assisting with program-related events and initiatives. Work a minimum of 10-16 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in enrolling volunteers and children into the program, supporting administrative tasks during the onboarding process.

  • Engage in community outreach and recruitment efforts at various events to attract mentors for the program.

  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of relationships between matches, providing guidance and resources as needed.

  • Collaborate with team members to organize and execute program events, ensuring smooth operations and participant engagement.

  • Apply and adhere to Big Brothers Big Sisters' safety and risk management policies in all activities.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a student enrolled at Southeastern University.

  • Preference for experience or familiarity working with both children and adults.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and basic technical skills.

  • Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and meeting state-required automobile insurance minimums.
