Community Schools Network VISTA-UWGLV

All United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley AmeriCorps VISTA assignments will expand capacity towards population level goals across the region. UWGLV strives to create population level change in areas of education, food access, healthy aging and emergency services to ensure individuals who experience crisis have the supports they need to rebound.

The UWGLV VISTA project focuses on strengthening the networks of providers that deliver services to address concerns and through working with UWGLV staff they support the efforts across all four-issue areas. VISTAs address issues at the programmatic and system levels seeking to identify and deal with the root causes by utilizing the collective impact framework. Member Duties : The UWGLV LV Community Schools Network VISTA will provide support to the Lehigh Valley Community Schools Network by reviewing community school best practices, data collection and developing a standard operating procedure and protocols for the strategic plan. The VISTA will gather examples of data collection tools across community school sites to identify best practices.

They will also standardize data collection by creating a standard operating procedure (SOP), and then train community school coordinators and partners on that SOP. Finally, the VISTA will share success stories from Lehigh Valley Community Schools with the United Way marketing and resource development teams.
