Job Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Community Schools Coordinator (CSC) is responsible for the planning, organizing, implementation, alignment and coordination of the school-wide community school strategy and program. The CSC serves as a bridge between the school and external community partners to through relationship building and linking community resources to the school. The Coordinator will work directly with students, school staff, and families, identifying barriers that limit student success, and will develop strategies and resources to improve attendance, reduce behavior incidents, promote family and community engagement, and increase student achievement. The CSC will assist with the implementation of the California Community Schools Partnership initiative with a focus on developing community services at identified sites in the school district community. The CSC will manage existing partnerships, identify and pursue new community partners, and monitor program quality and impact by using a data and results driven approach. They will play a key role in building and maintaining tiered prevention and intervention systems that provide a positive school-wide culture, including youth and family engagement. This position is grant funded.
