Requirements / Qualifications
The Community Schools Coordinator develops, implements, and monitors California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) grant services and programs and ensures compliance with all CCSPP grant reporting requirements. In addition, the Coordinator communicates and builds partnerships with community-based organizations that can provide services to support the social-emotional, mental health, curricular and academic needs of students, families, and the community. They also serve as a liaison for agencies and programs interested in partnering with the school. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES -Experience with diverse communities that represent various racial, ethnic, linguistic, disability, and socioeconomic groups
Ability to partner with educators, families, students, and community members, establish, advocate for, and implement local policies (school, city, county, state, and beyond) -Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work extremely well as part of a team.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism
First Aid/CPR may be required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Public Relations, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
At least one year of work experience in community development OR at least two years of work experience in a field related to the company preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES The following is a list of duties that are representative of the position and include but are not limited to:
Assesses which services are most needed at the school and work with the school leadership teams, the community, families, and agencies to bring the identified services to the school
Serves as chair of the Golden Advisory Committee and manage partnerships and strategies
Oversees reporting and data management related to CCSPP project goals and/or other partnership program grant(s), including Coordinating all data and metrics to monitor the implementation plan, with contracted partners
Approves expenditures and monitor budgets to ensure that approved expenses are compliant with grant funding requirements and local, state, and federal regulations
Conducts need and asset assessments to prioritize services, identify gaps in services, and build one existing supports within the community
Works with school staff, agencies, and community agencies to bring services to the schools
Coordinates community resources and serving the school as identified per the needs assessment
Plans, develops, implements, and organizes events for students, families and community to advance the mission and goals of the company.
Integrates and align resources to school goals and priorities.
Publishes monthly newsletter for families, community partners and donors.
Reports to work as scheduled.
Participate in available training to meet new safety and/or technology standards.
Attend meetings related to assignment.
Model a personal code of ethics aligned with GCA Mission and Vision.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work with the marketing and communications team to develop fundraising materials and campaigns that effectively communicate the organization's mission and goals.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, volunteers, staff, and community partners.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical, mental, and emotional stamina to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Physical stamina sufficient to sustain light to medium physical labor for up to 8 hours, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
Physical mobility sufficient to move about the work environment for sustained periods of time on hard flooring, climb slopes, stairs, ramps, and to respond to emergency situations.
Physical strength sufficient to periodically lift and/or carry 15 pounds of materials or supplies; occasionally lift 40 or more pounds with assistance.
Indoor/outdoor work environment.
