Essential Functions:

(Note: the list below are not ranked in order of importance)

• Provide expertise in the theme of the school program and serves as a consultant to staff and students

• Provide student instruction related to the theme of the school program

• Provide staff training related to the theme of the school program

• Work with the school staff to generate partnerships with the university and private business sector

• Assist the staff in establishing linkages with the community for experiential learning opportunities

• Serve as a liaison between the school and community

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing technical supervision or assistance for all schedule events or performances in the building's theater. This includes, but not limited to: lighting design, sound design, set design, set construction, equipment maintenance, equipment purchases, and equipment rentals. It is also expected that the technical director also train, organize and provide student or professional technicians as needed for all performances in the building.

Prior to performances the technical director must meet or communicate with the teacher or performers responsible for upcoming events or performances and collaboratively determine what technical assistance is required.
