JOB SUMMARY:

A community relations liaisons primary responsibilities are to build relationships with referral sources, and community organizations and to recognize and develop areas of growth that will result in revenue generation.A community relations liaison also plays a major role in ensuring quality service delivery and performs tasks that help the organization deliver our effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Outside sales experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

  1. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  2. Strong presentation skills.
  3. Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with Patients and employees.
  4. Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making and planning/organizing skills.
  5. The ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment, as well as carry out instructions from supervisor.
  6. Acceptance of the philosophy and goals of the organization.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact in a professional manner.
  8. Ability to operate a computer to input and retrieve data as required by job duties.
  9. The ability to be in the field for at least 8 hours per day.
  10. Ability to read and write in English.
  11. Minimum High School Diploma.

LINE OF AUTHORITY:Reports to the Administrator.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Drive revenue and meet associated sales goals.
  2. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings.
  3. Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
  4. Perform tasks related to logging daily sales activity.
  5. Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries using appropriate methods.
  6. Communicate internally about new opportunities, services issues and other issues that affect the day-to-day business of a community relations liaison.
  7. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer and satisfaction.
  8. Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business goals, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity.
  9. Manage and control departmental expenditures within established budgets.
  10. Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures.

The Health Center at Franklin Park is looking for a talented Community Relations Coordinator (CRC) to join our dedicated team. As a CRC at Franklin Park, you'll perform a critical role in providing Admissions and Marketing activity for our 86-bed skilled nursing facility in addition to direct oversight of Receptionist position and business office functions. This position is responsible for gathering, reviewing and evaluating information from referring hospital case managers, social workers and other sources to facilitate the admission process. Creates and implements the annual strategic marketing plan, seeks qualified leads from a variety of referral sources within marketplace to meet census needs of the community. Responsible for pre-admission financial verification, completes acceptance process and conducts admission paperwork with new resident. Spends approximately 30% of time out of the community regularly networking at hospitals and other referral sources, on-site assessments and expanding awareness of the community. Maintains internal business office functions; resident trust funds, daily census records, accounts payables, makes bank deposits, and supports regional business office with resident eligibility problems.
