Community Relations Directors possess excellent people skills with the expertise to understand client needs and close sales, proficiency of organizing and managing a small territory, and the ability to collaborate with a team. Role

The Community Relations Director is an integral part of the management team reporting directly to the Executive Director.

  • High energy, motivated sales professional

  • Responsible for external sales, marketing, and community relations

  • Responsible for achieving set goals and objectives

  • Leads all staff to have a welcoming and enthusiastic presence with potential new residents

Expectations and Responsibilities

  • External business development in order to drive traffic to community

  • Meets and exceeds sales goals

  • Must be a self-starter, goal oriented, and able to work autonomously to achieve results

  • Must demonstrate ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate the programs and policies of Morning Pointe and meet all administrative tasks and deadlines

  • Demonstrates commitment to ethical conduct in the performance of the position and all activities performed on behalf of the Community

  • Manages expenses within budgetary guidelines

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree preferred

  • 3 years of professional sales experience with proven track record

  • Must possess excellent reading, writing, verbal skills using the English language

Westhaven's service mission of "Creating relationships and lasting memories through genuine service, at an escape that feels like home" challenges the team to always anticipate needs and provide the members with an inviting environment. Key responsibilities include: * Ownership of the service mission statement * Primary coordinator of food and beverage service hiring, coaching, training, orientations and creating a culture of teamwork * Have a strong, highly visible presence with the membership during peak periods, including dinner service * Oversee all dining areas to ensure smooth and consistent experience commonality in all operations, high levels of member and guest satisfaction, and exemplary service in conjunction with managers and clubhouse chefs. * Direct oversight of the beverage program, to include purchasing and inventory of all beer, wine, and liquor. * Assist in the planning and execution of all club social functions, including, club, member, and member sponsored events. * In coordination with the Director of Membership, promote and contract banquet and catering services * In coordination with the Executive Chef and General Manager, develop and monitor all financial plans * Planning and execution of opening plan for all new food and beverage venues * Ensure adherence to, and compliance with, all health, safety, liquor consumption, and all other food and beverage regulations. * Assist with clubhouse and facility maintenance needs, including management of all preventive maintenance of front of the house and beverage equipment * Work closely with the Executive Chef to facilitate a strong relationship between kitchen and restaurant departments. * Establish and uphold expectations for dress, decorum and other service standards Education/Experience: * Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Tennessee ABC Server Card (must be attained in first 60 days on property) * ServSafe certification Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: * Service Heart * Knowledgeable in hospitality POS system application, hardware, software and menu programing. * Experience in Multi-faceted Food and Beverage operations. * Strong understanding of beverage program management, with emphasis on Bourbon and wine preferred * Ability and willingness to step into other departments to help during "all hands on deck" periods * High comfort level with technology * Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
