The successful candidate for this position will have:

  • BS/BA Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Psychology preferred but not required.

  • Must have one year of experience in a long-term care setting, or academic coursework that would complement position duties.

  • Must have prior experience handling confidential information.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle team members based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.

  • Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with members of the team.

  • Must be organized and demonstrate time management skills.

  • Must have ability to act as liaison between the team and Community management.

  • Must maintain the care and use of administrative supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the assigned office in a clean, safe and attractive manner.

  • Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with team members.

  • Must be knowledgeable of computers and other office equipment.

  • Must possess a valid state drivers' license.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY: The Documentation Coordinator is responsible for submission and retrieval of medical documentation to physician/referral source to ensure medical necessity required for funding. Essential Functions: * Obtain medical documentation for required funding approval utilizing both telephone and facsimile. * Respond to all internal and external customers in a timely & professional manner. * Communicate effectively with branch personnel in regards to order processing. * Provide support for various business processes and innovations including departmental standard operating procedures. Required Skills QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: * High School diploma/GED required; Associates degree preferred. * Six months medical documentation related experience or training preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities. * Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision. * Able to use technology to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. * Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills. * Listens well and retains instructions; accepts constructive feedback from supervisor. * A track record of being consistent with attendance and prompt arrival at work and meetings. * Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the Numotion Mission.
