The Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine's Community Practice is seeking a dedicated and experienced supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our academic primary care veterinary clinic. This unique opportunity involves partnering with faculty veterinarians including board-certified specialists in canine and feline practice, and managing a team of licensed veterinary technicians, assistants and clinical year veterinary students to ensure the delivery of high-quality, low-stress veterinary care to our canine and feline patients. The Supervisor will coordinate schedules and align resources to ensure excellent patient care and experiences for our clients. You will help foster a collaborative and supportive environment and assess and improve operational processes to best serve our community's needs.

Required Qualifications

Significant experience in a multi-doctor healthcare setting

Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others toward common goals.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.

Proficiency in veterinary practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and implement cost-effective solutions.

Commitment to promoting a positive work culture, fostering learning, and advancing the veterinary profession.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years veterinary practice management

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as: veterinary technology or business administration

Previous experience in a supervisor role

CVPM (or interest in obtaining)

Experience in an academic or veterinary primary care setting.
