Develops, manages, and retains client relationships for Personal Trust area in Community Banking. Manages relationship with clients to ensure clients' financial needs are met and exceeded. Provides expert financial advice and counsel to clients and prospective clients especially in the areas of personal trust, private banking, and investments. Presents alternative solutions for a variety of complex business situations. Calls on potential and/or existing clients to develop new business and increase or retain relationships with current clients. Manages trust relationships, ensuring client objectives are met and are consistent with governing documents and fiduciary administration principles. Analyzes economic and industry market trends to identify potential business opportunities and high-risk situations. Actively networks in community to identify and capitalize on new business development opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to eight years of experience in Personal Trust banking industry

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Law degree

  • Excellent personal trust relationship management

  • Advanced knowledge of personal trust products and services

  • Thorough knowledge of private banking, investment and other U.S. Bancorp products and services

  • In-depth knowledge of fiduciary services

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to make critical decisions independently

  • Previous involvement in financial planning activities

In addition to being the primary point of contact and key financial advisor for the client, the SRM is accountable for prospecting new business and retaining and deepening existing relationships. The SRM analyzes the client's financial and operating strategies and recommends alternative or additional financial services to best meet the client's immediate and long-term personal and business needs. The SRM will have the ability to forge relationships with the appropriate decision makers within the client company. The SRM is also responsible for leading, directing and coordinating key extended team members in the analysis and execution in the effective delivery of their products and services to clients and prospects. This involves coordinating client involvement by the team's specialists in credit and payments. To effectively perform this role, the SRM must be well versed in all Bank of America products and services for proper identification of cross-selling opportunities.
