Job Title: Community Outreach Specialist
Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to develop a growing base of referral sources that drive monthly budgeted enrollment goals through increased PACE referrals.
Essential Job Functions
Implements the organization's outreach strategy in order to achieve sales and enrollment goals through effective Business Development efforts
Attends networking meetings on a regular basis to meet or exceed established referral goals
Serves as a central point for all business development for assigned market
Builds new strategic relationships while intentionally nurturing existing relationships that provide referrals
Adjusts strategy based on ROI of time spent vs. referrals gained
Develops and maintains a strong market understanding while identifying opportunities and potential relationships
Maintains a working knowledge of the local market trends and competitors to assist in development of business development strategies and action plans
Creates and implements an effective outreach program including both professional referral development and community relations efforts
Acts as lead external sales representative by scheduling and conducting outside sales appointments, networking, and referral source event planning
Develops relationships with key community influencers
75% of all hours worked should be spent in the field in planned or drop-in visits with professional referral sources or attending professional referral source events, with the remaining 25% spent at the PACE center scheduling visits and doing follow ups
Effectively uses CRM to track communications, cultivate relationships over time and collect data that drives strategy
Performs community outreach activities including presentations, exhibits and one on one contact with community groups, as needed
Participates in all department, Florida PACE Center Management Team, and in-service meetings.
Other duties as assigned by leadership, as needed
Frequent travel within the service area, up to 75%

Valid Florida driver's license and auto insurance for use of personal vehicle to perform job duties
Medical Terminology Certification preferred
Abilities Required
Must possess critical thinking and organizational skills
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Must be able to work autonomously and reach goals based on budgets
Must have computer skills, Microsoft Word experience required. Experience using a CRM preferred
Knowledge of the Florida Medicaid System preferred
Multilingual in English, Spanish and/or Creole preferred
